FESTIVAL of REMEMBRANCE
FRIDAY 12th NOVEMBER 2010
TOWN HALL, Broad Street, Welshpool.
7.30pm, Doors open 7pm.
This will be the 4th Festival of Remembrance organised jointly between the Town Council and the Welshpool Branch of the Royal British Legion.
Once again there will be a parade of standards, followed by
a full programme of entertainment.
REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY PARADE
SUNDAY 14th NOVEMBER 2009
Will depart from the Park Lane at 10.30am for a Civic Service of Remembrance at St Mary's Church.
2 MINUTES SILENCE
This will take place at 11am on Thursday 11th November 2010 outside the Town Hall
VE/VJ DAY 50th ANNIVERSARY DVD
A DVD of the 2 day celebrations to mark this event in 1995 is now available from the Tourist Information Centre Welshpool. £6.
Features children's fancy dress procession through the town, sports on recreation grounds, the street party in Broad street, parades to and from church, the laying of wreaths, and the evening concert.
